Things Are Changing…

High Springs, FL
Hello, my loves,
How is everyone feeling?
Sometimes that question feels almost impossible to answer. If you’ve been feeling anything like me, I have been experiencing a full range of emotions, highs and lows over here as the season shifts and we shift along with her from Summer into Fall.
Summer feels like this tall, outward-facing, forward-moving, bright, exuberant, energetic yellow sunflower, and Fall feels like that same flower after its petals have returned to the Earth and its head gets heavy and starts to droop and begin its descent toward the ground.
Fall is this transition period, preparing us to lie down and rest for the winter. But early Fall is funny in the way it clings to the Summer energy, like a toddler fighting nap time. Just when we start to settle in and accept the inevitable cooling descent, here come a few more wet and warm days and another round of blooms in the garden.
Questions begin to form and resurface. Old patterns stop by to see if we will let them in once again this year or if their work with us is complete. And eventually the surrender of October comes, and it really is Autumn. Confusion becomes clarity as the energy settles, chaos becomes calm.
All there is left to do is to continue harvesting and processing the final fruits of the season and surrender.
I write this because if you are experiencing any of this in your own unique way, I want you to know you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong. We are simply shifting. Summer yields to Fall, Fall yields to Winter, and Winter will yield to Spring.
We are alive and we have seasons, just like the Earth and all its beautiful creatures. Nothing lasts forever. (THANK GOD)
Take care of yourself. Nourish yourself on all levels with food, beverage, meditation, prayer, journaling, and movement. However you need, in whatever ways your one-of-a-kind soul requires.
Over here, for me, it’s been an information fast, a week of no reading, watching, or scrolling. It’s also been Burdock Root tea, Hibiscus tea, powdered Milk Thistle sprinkled over my meals, daily writing, time in the garden, and in meditation.
I feel myself changing, and it is uncomfortable. And I am grateful.
Dariya Koncz was on the podcast this week, and she said, “You won’t be able to grow if you stay comfortable. Staying comfortable is going to keep you small, and I don’t believe we are meant to be small.”
You can listen to the episode here or search The Sacred Reclamation Podcast wherever you listen to things.
Would you do me a favor and follow the show on Apple or Spotify or wherever you listen? Just the tiny act of you pressing a few buttons helps me and the show grow and share our message with more people.
You are greatly appreciated. By me, the universe, and your loved ones. I invite you to take a moment to feel into that and believe it to be true. Deep breath in. And out. Repeat as many times as you need. I find 6 to be my sweet spot for a reset. <3
Don’t forget to check out our offerings in our online apothecary. Get yourself a little gift while you’re there; you deserve it.
I am sending out love, blessings, and gratitude a little bit extra this week. It feels like we need it, and I hope that you are open to receiving.
Peace,
Syd from Sacred Reclamation
